10:55 - Acie Law, gaining confidence by the second. He just came off a screen by Zaza at the top of the key to hit a jumper over Sam Cassell and now has 4 points. I'm liking what I'm seeing from him...9:03 - Umm, Acie Law is kinda killing it. He just crossed Cassell over for another layup and now has a team-high 6 points. Unfortanately, Cassell is making up for it on the other end, scoring 6 points of his own to give the Celts their largest lead of the game at 34-24.
8:42 - After Acie won a jumpball against Cassell (thank god, I'm not sure he'd ever live that one down if he didn't), Joe Johnson finally gets on the board with a fallaway jumper. I have to give it up to the Celtics, they are making him work for everything.7:25 - Joe is taking the offense on his shoulders, which is good because it's getting us some points. He just completed an old-fashioned 3-point play and now has the team's last 5 points.
6:24 - Josh Smith makes a pair of free throws, which highlights something the team is doing well so far tonight, as they are currently 9-10 from the line.
4:36 - Marvin Williams gets his first jumper of the night. That just shows you the job the Celtics are doing on the Hawks right now defensively. I'd be more impressed with it, if I wasn't so frustrated by it!
3:18 - In addition to making it difficult for the Hawks to get good shots, the Celtics are also forcing a lot of turnovers which is really making it hard on Atlanta. The Hawks have 11 turnovers in the half, to only 4 for Boston.
2:01 - Timeout on the court, and it's 52-37 Boston. The Hawks are not out of this, but the last two minutes of this half will be very important if they want to make this game a contest. If they can get a few stops and convert offensively they will have a chance to build some momentum going into halftime. I'd love to see them get it back in single digits at the break...
0:00 - The Hawks defense holds strong, and the team battles back to within a free throw of single digits to trail 52-42 at the half. A good closing run to get back in it.
