Mavs Talking About Willis

Lost in the shuffle of yesterday's NCAA title game (congrats to the Gators for completing an incredibly difficult repeat) was this little NBA nugget:
Kevin Willis is back in the league, having signed a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.
The 44-year old former Hawk (and Rocket, and Spur, and Raptor, etc etc.) joins a Dallas frontline that has been shorthanded of late with an injury to Erick Dampier.
There is no question Willis is in shape, as he was always one of the most fitness-conscious players in the NBA. Does he still have enough left in the tank to make a contribution? I guess we'll see. Dallas has very little to play for over the last few weeks of the season as they've already clinched their division and nearly the #1 seed, so maybe he'll get some P.T.
Either way, we will always have a soft spot in our heart for the big man, who is so old he was playing in the NBA before Josh Smith and Marvin Williams were born.
Best of luck, big fella.
