Getting It Done In Memphis

Well,
that wasn't so bad, was it? The Hawks nabbed their fourth straight win with a
dominant 116-99 win in Memphis last night, pushing their lead over New Jersey
and Indiana to three games for the final playoff spot with just 8 games to play.I know the Grizzlies threatened to make it a game for a few minutes in the fourth, but let's not kid ourselves. The outcome was never really in doubt. It was a minor annoyance that they had to bring the starters back in, but it would be silly to focus on that and not on the overall outcome, specifically that Atlanta won for the 8th time in 10 games and picked up two wins on a back-to-back for the second time in two weeks. As you can see to the right, the Hawks magic number to clinch is down to 6 - any combination of Hawks wins and Nets and Pacers losses totaling that number will put Atlanta in the playoffs for the first time since 1998-99. This thing is starting to get rolling!
