We are getting closer and closer to the 2008 Playoffs, and I gotta admit, I'm getting a little excited. I know we haven't clinched yet, but we are close.

If you've been around the Hawks site of late, you've probably noticed our slogan for the 2008 Playoffs: Get Fired Up!

We are getting fired up as we speak, as the season is in its final week (hey that rhymes!), and we want to get you involved as well.

That is why today we are launching the Hawks Get Fired Up Video Contest. Here's the dirt on what you need to enter:

We are looking for the best videos of Hawks fans getting everyone fired up for the playoffs - you can address it to the players, the coaches, the fans, whoever you want. If you want to speak from the heart, do that. If you want to recite your favorite movie pep talk, have at it!

It's so easy to enter, you'd be silly not to, really. And the prizes ain't too shabby, either.

The Grand Prize winner will receive 2 tickets to the first home playoff game, dinner at Center Club, and their video will be shown on the jumbotron to all the fans who come out to support the team on their playoff run. Runner-up will receive an autographed Hawks basketball.

Seriously, have some fun with this. All you need is a camera, a face, and a voice, and you are good to go.
